Nike continues to evolve the Air Max line with the upcoming release of the Air Max 1000 “Oatmeal,” set to drop in Summer 2025. First unveiled over six months ago, the sneaker brings together digital manufacturing and visible Air technology in a single, futuristic build. Designed in collaboration with Zellerfeld, the model introduces a 3D-printed construction that eliminates traditional shoe components in favor of a fully formed, laceless structure.

The Air Max 1000 breaks away from stitched panels, overlays, and conventional fabrication. Instead, Nike and Zellerfeld shaped the sneaker through advanced digital modeling, creating a textured lattice exterior that flows across the upper and midsole. This one-piece design rethinks what an Air Max can look and feel like, while still keeping familiar cues intact.

The “Oatmeal” colorway keeps things understated, focusing on a smooth, monochromatic beige tone that emphasizes the printed form. This neutral shade allows the geometry of the upper to stand out, from the sculpted toe to the technical detailing along the heel and collar. Branding stays minimal. A debossed Swoosh sits on the midfoot, and a heel tab provides structural detail without clutter.

Nike contrasts the neutral upper with a Total Orange Air unit in the heel. This visible component links back to the Air Max line’s history of spotlighting Nike’s cushioning tech. The Air Max 1000 uses that same idea but frames it in a new way, one that relies more on structure than overlays. Branding around the Air unit includes a small Air Max 1000 callout, a “FUTURE” mark, and a “Bowerman” reference, giving the sneaker a coded look that aligns with the design’s technical feel.

Performance details support the visual innovation. The flexible outsole features multi-directional grip zones built into the 3D-printed base. Without laces, the shoe still offers a snug, adaptive fit. The design team shaped the collar and instep to hold the foot without pressure points or adjustment.

Nike manufactures the Air Max 1000 in Germany, as indicated by subtle markings on the shoe. That detail reflects the precision of Zellerfeld’s print process and positions the sneaker within Nike’s forward-looking category of digitally developed products.

Retailing for $210 USD, the Air Max 1000 “Oatmeal” arrives on Nike SNKRS and select retailers this summer. The price reflects its place within Nike’s advanced lineup, alongside other innovation-driven releases. The colorway stays grounded, but the construction pushes far beyond what most Air Max fans expect.
