Asprey Studio introduces a new project that connects luxury craft, comic culture and blockchain technology with Marvel Masterpieces Avengers: Asprey Studio Collection. Presented as a one-of-one series of artworks, the collection pairs handcrafted sterling silver sculptures with dynamic digital pieces, each dedicated to one of Marvel’s most iconic comic book characters. Conceived for collectors who move between physical and digital worlds, the collection positions Marvel’s heroes within a contemporary art and design context rather than traditional merchandising.
The Marvel Masterpieces Avengers: Asprey Studio Collection features 60 characters from Marvel’s extensive universe. Each character is realised as a unique sterling silver sculpture and a corresponding digital artwork, both created by Asprey Studio. The decision to produce the works as one-of-one pieces underlines the focus on rarity, provenance and long-term collectability. Instead of limited editions or mass-produced figurines, the project aligns itself with the language of fine art, where each piece is singular and highly specific.
Marvel’s universe, founded in 1939, has shaped global pop culture for 85 years. Characters such as Captain America, Iron Man, Black Panther and Hulk have moved from the pages of comic books to cinema, fashion, gaming and contemporary art. Asprey Studio’s collection returns to the graphic roots of these figures, drawing directly from Marvel’s deep comic archive. The Studio’s creative team uses those original visual narratives as a foundation, then reimagines the characters in three dimensions, both as physical sculpture and as digital artwork accessible via the Ethereum blockchain.

The sterling silver sculptures are produced at the Asprey Studio Atelier in Kent by master silversmiths. Each piece goes through a multi-stage process that combines traditional silversmithing with advanced, contemporary techniques. Rendered examples of characters such as Hulk and Black Panther reveal a focus on musculature, movement and surface texture that places the work closer to sculpture seen in galleries than to conventional collectibles. The use of sterling silver connects the project to over five centuries of British silversmithing, while the forms themselves speak to a contemporary audience familiar with both comics and luxury objects.
“Working closely with Marvel, we wanted to retain the soul of each character as well as their appearance as closely as possible. Each digital artwork is ‘alive’ – it moves very subtly and unpredictably – shares Alastair Walker, Chief Creative Officer of Asprey Studio
In parallel, the digital artworks are hand-sculpted and animated frame by frame by Asprey Studio’s in-house team. These pieces are described as “alive”, with subtle, unpredictable movements that are designed to reward repeated viewing. Accessible through the Ethereum blockchain, the digital works exist as collectible art objects in their own right. The intention is to extend the experience of looking at art beyond the average 27 seconds that most viewers spend in front of a piece. By allowing the digital artworks to shift slightly each time they are seen, Asprey Studio invites collectors to return to the work and notice new details in light, motion and composition.

Alastair Walker, Chief Creative Officer of Asprey Studio, emphasises the importance of both fidelity and spirit in the project. “Working closely with Marvel, we wanted to retain the soul of each character as well as their appearance as closely as possible. Each digital artwork is ‘alive’ – it moves very subtly and unpredictably. The average person spends 27 seconds looking at art, so we wanted to have the digital artwork look slightly different each time you see it. Then each piece is paired to a beautifully crafted silver sculpture, made by our master silversmiths at the Asprey Studio Atelier. Creating a collection of 1-of-1 pieces means heightened rarity and added value for our collectors.”

The collaboration also acknowledges the narrative traditions that underpin both partners. To honour Marvel’s long history of comic book storytelling and Asprey’s heritage in Fine and Rare Books, a specially commissioned limited-edition comic book will be gifted to the owners of the works. This gesture connects the new collection to the printed page, linking the physical sculptures and digital artworks back to the original medium where these characters first appeared.
The Marvel Masterpieces Avengers: Asprey Studio Collection has already been previewed at two confidential private events in London and New York, introducing the works to a select group of collectors and industry figures. A further showcase and exhibition is scheduled to take place in Dubai in December 2025, extending the project’s reach to a global audience of art, design and luxury enthusiasts. The collection is described as the first in a series of forthcoming releases from Asprey Studio, signalling a continued focus on projects that merge high craft, technology and cultural icons.
For Walker, the collaboration is also a statement on the artistic status of comics. “Comics are truly an artform, and Marvel comic book artists are profoundly inspiring, masterfully combining dynamic storytelling, bold visuals, and emotional depth to shape a vivid and enduring visual language that continues to influence generations,” he notes. The collection positions Marvel’s characters within that visual language, treating them as subjects for sculpture and digital experimentation rather than purely as entertainment properties.
John Rigas, Chairman of Asprey International Ltd, frames the project in terms of contemporary mythology and material culture. “Comics are the mythology of our time. I am delighted that Asprey Studio has brought these mythological heroes to life, reimagining them as digital art that reflects the latest advancements in technology and as beautiful silver sculptures reflecting over 500 years of excellence in British silversmithing. The combination is a magical outcome,” he comments. The collection brings together centuries of craft knowledge with the most recent developments in blockchain and digital art.
“Together, we’re bringing Marvel’s legacy of dynamic, visual storytelling into collectible works of art that celebrate the intersection of design, tech, creativity and character” – shares Tasia Filippatos
Tasia Filippatos, President, Disney Consumer Products, highlights the way the project extends Marvel’s visual storytelling into the realm of collectible art. “Bringing this collection to life with Asprey Studio is a masterclass in craftsmanship and imagination. Together, we’re bringing Marvel’s legacy of dynamic, visual storytelling into collectible works of art that celebrate the intersection of design, tech, creativity and character.” Filippatos views the collection within a broader shift in how entertainment brands engage with art, design and high-end collectors.
Asprey Studio itself was founded in 2022 as a digital and contemporary art gallery and atelier, representing a new chapter for the 244-year-old British luxury house. With a gallery space in Mayfair and an atelier in Kent, the Studio focuses on artists and projects that operate at the meeting point of technology and traditional craft. Previous collaborations include partnerships with Bugatti and the British Museum, and the Marvel Masterpieces Avengers: Asprey Studio Collection continues this trajectory. By placing Marvel’s characters within a framework of fine art, rare objects and blockchain-based digital works, Asprey Studio reinforces its position in the evolving dialogue between luxury, art and technology.

Marvel, meanwhile, continues to expand across film, television, publishing, gaming, live events and digital media, building on an archive of characters and stories that have influenced global culture for eight decades. In this collaboration with Asprey Studio, its heroes are reimagined as sculptural and digital icons designed for collectors who see continuity between a sterling silver piece in a gallery and a unique artwork secured on the blockchain. The Marvel Masterpieces Avengers: Asprey Studio Collection captures that convergence, presenting a vision of collecting where heritage, innovation and pop culture share the same stage.
