Netflix unveils the first teaser for Agatha Christie‘s Seven Dials, confirming a 15 January 2026 release date and offering a first look at the cast stepping into the 1925-set mystery. The series adapts Christie’s novel The Seven Dials Mystery and introduces a new screen version of Lady Eileen “Bundle” Brent, played by BAFTA Rising Star winner Mia McKenna-Bruce, who leads the story as an unexpectedly persistent investigator drawn into a murder case born from a prank gone wrong.

Set during a weekend gathering at a grand country estate, the story opens with what appears to be an elaborate joke among house guests but quickly shifts when one of them turns up dead. The case forces Bundle Brent into action, pushing her from spectator to sleuth as she pieces together clues, uncovers hidden motives, and enters a network of coded secrets linked to the mysterious group referred to as the Seven Dials. The series presents the investigation with pace and wit, retaining the energy of Christie’s novel while foregrounding Bundle as a young protagonist driven by curiosity rather than formal authority.
The cast brings together British screen veterans and rising names: Helena Bonham Carter plays Lady Caterham, Martin Freeman appears as Battle, while Corey Mylchreest, Ed Bluemel, and Nabhaan Rizwan take on key roles within the story’s shifting group of suspects and confidantes. Each character belongs to the same social circle, yet carries a private link to the crime, giving the series a tight ensemble dynamic shaped around conflicting loyalties inside a privileged setting.
The project comes from writer Chris Chibnall, known for Broadchurch and Doctor Who, who scripts all three episodes and executive produces through his company Imaginary Friends. Suzanne Mackie, whose credits include The Crown, executive produces through Orchid Pictures, marking Seven Dials as the first project under her banner. Director Chris Sweeney handles all three parts and also joins the executive team, alongside Chris Sussman, Andy Stebbing, and James Prichard of Agatha Christie Limited.
Prichard, Christie’s great-grandson, notes Bundle Brent as one of the author’s most spirited young female characters, placing this adaptation among the works aiming to reintroduce lesser-screened Christie titles to a new audience. While the novel sits outside the Poirot and Marple canon, it carries the familiar mix of secret societies, layered clues, and shifting identities that define Christie’s writing.
Netflix will release all three episodes globally on 15 January 2026.
