Javier Guijarro Fall Winter 2026 marks an important stage in the international development of the Catalan designer. Presented in Paris, the show reflects a moment of consolidation for a project that has grown through a distinct vision linking tradition, adolescence, and contemporary luxury. The presentation follows a year of increased global attention for the designer.

FALL WINTER 2026

The collection begins with a sense of uncertainty that guides the narrative of the season. Guijarro draws inspiration from the relationship between the two young protagonists in Hirokazu Kore-eda’s film Monster. Their connection develops almost entirely within the forest. In this context the forest becomes a space shaped by uncertainty and refuge. Guijarro adopts this setting as a central metaphor for the collection.

This idea of the forest translates into clothing that reflects both protection and vulnerability. The natural environment influences how garments appear and how they interact with the body. The forest becomes a symbolic environment where individuals encounter themselves and develop new forms of expression.

Checked fabrics, traditional wool, leather, and silk establish the material foundation of the collection. These fabrics appear across overshirts, shirts, and structured coats that have defined the brand since its early seasons. The designer introduces additional layers of material treatment through waxed fabrics and waterproof finishes. Functional references drawn from outdoor clothing enter the wardrobe through coats and protective layers. These elements develop a connection to rural clothing traditions while maintaining contemporary construction.

The garments appear worn and affected by their environment, suggesting a life lived within the forest setting. Threads hang loosely from certain pieces as if caught on branches. This detail creates a visual connection between nature and the work of the fashion atelier. The clothing appears as though it has interacted directly with the surrounding landscape.

Another influence appears through the animated series Over the Garden Wall. The series follows characters moving through a mysterious forest environment. Its narrative of adventure and emotional transition resonates with the themes present in Guijarro’s Fall Winter 2026 collection. The runway presentation features thirty to thirty-five looks that explore personal growth through a balance of emotional narrative and structured design.

Footwear introduces a collaboration with Converse that emerges naturally from the collection’s conceptual framework. In the film Monster a subtle reference to Converse appears as a symbolic detail. This connection resonated strongly with Guijarro’s vision for the season. Guijarro modifies the Chuck Taylor through unexpected textures and finishes. These designs appear alongside the Chuck Taylor LO presented in its original form.

The show also includes Abanderado as the backstage underwear partner. The brand provides garments worn beneath the looks presented on the runway. Stylist Alba Melendo shapes the visual presentation of the runway, while Gerard Ribera directs the music and sound design.
