Willy Chavarria continues his adidas Megaride AG rollout with a new “Powder Red” colorway planned for Summer 2026. After presenting the silhouette earlier this year, the designer returns to the model with a full pink build, red accents, and a design direction tied to his recurring rose motif. The release expands his adidas work with a sneaker that moves away from the ‘70s and ‘80s references seen across earlier projects such as the Jabbar and Superstar.

The adidas Megaride AG takes its foundation from early-2000s Megaride technology. Its most recognizable detail sits underfoot, where oversized hollow TPU tunnels run through the midsole. The wavy sole unit gives the shoe a futuristic profile, while the large cutouts create a sculpted, performance-inspired shape. In the “Powder Red” colorway, that construction becomes a key part of the visual impact, giving the soft upper tones a sharper technical base.

Chavarria builds the upper with mesh, suede, and glossy TPU overlays. Light pink covers most of the base, creating a monochromatic foundation across the shoe. Brighter pink paneling adds depth through the side cage, heel, and toe area, giving the design dimension while staying within the same color family. The close-up images show the textured mesh, suede toe overlays, and layered plastic components that shape the upper.

Branding plays a major role in the release. Red “Chavarria” lettering runs vertically down the tongue, turning the designer’s name into the main graphic detail on the shoe. The same red shade appears on the outsole window and co-branded hangtags, tying the colorway back to the rose-inspired theme. A plastic adidas-branded tag attached to the laces adds another visible detail to the front of the sneaker.

The “Powder Red” makeup gives the Megaride AG a softer surface while keeping the model’s aggressive structure intact. Pink tones cover the shoe from the mesh base to the TPU overlays, while the red details sharpen the design. This contrast between the color palette and the technical form gives the release a specific place within Chavarria’s adidas catalog, where the Megaride AG already marks a different direction from his previous work with archival adidas staples. The Willy Chavarria x adidas Megaride AG “Powder Red” will release in Summer 2026 online and select retailers. The retail price sits at $200 USD.
