Audi brings road performance and motorsport history together at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed, where the near-production Nuvolari prototype takes on the event’s 1.86-kilometer Hillclimb. Nine-time Le Mans winner Tom Kristensen drives the supercar through the grounds of Goodwood House, demonstrating technology developed through Audi’s work across racing and high-performance road cars.

The Nuvolari stands as the fastest and most powerful production vehicle Audi has created. It also introduces the brand’s new design philosophy and combines a high-performance hybrid powertrain with a new quattro drivetrain, active aerodynamics, vehicle dynamics systems, energy management, and an advanced braking setup.

“What impresses in the Nuvolari is the way all the systems work together, from the new quattro drivetrain and vehicle dynamics to aerodynamics and the braking system,” Kristensen says. Audi has drawn these technologies from motorsport and developed them for road use.
The appearance follows the Nuvolari’s UK debut in London. Audi plans to produce 499 examples, with customer deliveries scheduled to begin during the first half of 2027.

Goodwood also hosts the first public drive of the Auto Union Lucca, a recreated racing sedan linked to Audi’s record-setting history during the 1930s. The original Rennlimousine belonged to the Silver Arrows family and achieved a flying-start mile record in 1935, reaching a calculated average speed of 320.267 km/h.
Audi reconstructed the Lucca using historical photographs and technical documentation before presenting it in the Italian city of Lucca in May. Its Goodwood appearance places the car alongside other models from Audi Tradition’s collection, including vehicles from the brand’s Le Mans and rally programs, as well as the Auto Union Type C and Type D Grand Prix cars.

The new Audi RS 5 also appears at Goodwood Circuit from July 9 to 12. Visitors can experience the plug-in hybrid performance model through test drives, while the car sits alongside the Avant RS2 and Audi RS 4 Avant.
Audi has partnered with the Goodwood Festival of Speed since 2025.
