PUMA and AC Milan introduce the club’s 2026.27 Away Kit with a classic white base tied to major European occasions. The design draws from the club’s response to defeat, the memory of Athens in 2007 and the belief that each setback can create a new beginning. Filippo Inzaghi leads the campaign and links the new shirt directly to one of AC Milan’s defining victories.

The campaign builds on a phrase that supporters use to describe the club’s return from disappointment: “Dopo Istanbul c’è sempre Atene,” or “After Istanbul, there is always Athens.” PUMA and AC Milan print the words on the back of the collar. The phrase recalls the loss in Istanbul and the later victory in Athens, while connecting the supporters who witnessed both finals with younger fans who now inherit that history.

Inzaghi gives the campaign its face and voice. He played a key part in the 2007 final and represented AC Milan’s winning attitude throughout his time at the club. His presence gives the message a direct link to Athens and reminds supporters in Milan and other countries that belief can turn a setback into another chance to win.
The shirt carries several details tied to success and renewal. Gold accents frame the white jersey, while a laurel circles the badge and refers to the club’s record of victories. Inside the collar of the Authentic jersey, PUMA adds the modern Greek inscription “Δύναμη Ψυχής” and writes it in Latin characters as “Dýnami Psychís.” A phoenix wing also appears through the fabric weave, giving the shirt a symbol of recovery and renewed strength after each challenge.

Dominique Gauthier, PUMA Vice President of Teamsport, describes the shirt’s story as one of European football’s strongest memories. He says Athens 2007 remains vivid for Milan supporters and explains that the phoenix wing, laurel and Greek inscription each support the same idea. PUMA designed the jersey to honor what AC Milan has already achieved and the resilience the club continues to show.
AC Milan Chief Revenue Officer Maikel Oettle connects the white shirt with the club’s identity for over a century. He explains that white has carried AC Milan onto major stages for generations. For Oettle, wearing the new jersey links supporters who experienced the club’s greatest nights with those who now receive that legacy.

PUMA equips the Authentic jersey with ULTRAWEAVE, an ultra lightweight performance fabric that supports full mobility. The brand combines it with dryCELL and ThermoAdapt technologies, which help manage sweat and regulate body heat during play. The Replica jersey carries the same visual identity into daily wear and the stands. PUMA uses RE technology and makes 95 percent of its polyester from textile waste.
PUMA and AC Milan will release the 2026/27 Away Kit on July 31 through PUMA’s website and selected retail partners.
