Zara Home and Collagerie have introduced their second design collaboration under the title A Common Thread. The new collection builds on their earlier partnership and focuses on form, color, and material through a shared approach to home design. Zara Home’s minimal sensibility meets Collagerie’s bolder visual language, producing a selection of objects that move between restraint and expression.

FURNITURE

The collaboration features a wide range of pieces, from sculptural tableware and exaggerated platters to layered throws and tall lighting designs. Each item carries a consistent attention to proportion, texture, and surface treatment. Rather than follow a fixed style, the pieces allow color, material, and shape to drive the design.

Painterly motifs and warm tones appear throughout the collection, bringing a grounded energy into the objects. The materials lean into texture, ceramic surfaces, plush fabrics, and raw finishes build rhythm across the tableware, lighting, and textiles. While the collection maintains cohesion, it avoids uniformity by allowing variation within the product range.

Artist Kavel Rafferty contributes original artwork to the collaboration, introducing new textures and moods. Her floral motifs take form in a soft blanket and a three-panel wall piece that injects saturation into the collection. The pieces feature dynamic color placement and offer an extension of her painterly approach into the decorative object. These additions connect fine art practice with practical design, expanding the visual scope of the collection.

Rafferty’s involvement supports the collaborative structure behind the collection. Her designs do not interrupt the core direction but add depth through tonal shifts and graphic layering. The wall panels, in particular, create visual rhythm when placed together and serve as anchors within interior settings. The blanket uses her floral artwork on a larger scale, shifting her painting into functional form.

The collection avoids strict uniformity and instead follows a direction based on balance between clean lines and expressive surface. Each object plays a role in the larger visual composition but also carries enough identity to stand alone. This approach allows pieces to integrate into different domestic settings while still maintaining design presence.

Zara Home and Collagerie introduced the collection through their digital platforms, where it is now available to purchase. Prices start at around $13 USD and reach up to $699 USD. The full range can be found on both the Zara Home and Collagerie websites.
