Those memories shaped a complicated response to classical music that later became part of Post Archive Faction’s language. The brand frequently uses classical compositions, precisely because they feel unexpected within its context.
This tension connects to Lim’s interest in creating a New Classic. He frames the history of clothing as the evolution of sportswear, noting that garments now labeled classic once emerged from practical needs tied to movement and activity. Through this lens, the archive never stands still. It shifts, adapts, and changes as it passes through time. What exists now as reference once existed as function.
