Silence Please and adidas Originals have partnered on a site-specific sound installation and limited-edition track jacket for the opening of the new adidas Originals flagship store in SoHo. Located at 135 Spring Street, the store positions music and New York creative culture as central parts of its identity. The flagship operates as a cultural space connected to the city’s creative community and adidas Originals’ long relationship with music.

Silence Please designed and installed a permanent custom sound system for the Spring Street location. The large-format installation uses oversized horn-loaded speakers to turn acoustic equipment into a major visual feature within the interior.
The sound system serves as the central element of the collaboration. Silence Please developed the speakers around horn-loaded acoustic principles, using geometry that supports their function. The forms create a permanent architectural object inside the flagship and establish sound as part of the store itself. The studio combines acoustic engineering, sculptural forms and contemporary materials to create systems suited to intimate listening settings and larger cultural spaces.
Silence Please and adidas Originals extend the project into clothing through a limited Firebird track jacket. The design uses a restrained black-on-black color scheme and custom embroidery by Arena Embroidery. Across the back of the jacket, the embroidery reproduces the precise geometry of the installation’s horns as a technical wireframe image.
The two pieces of the collaboration follow the same design idea across different scales. The sound system occupies the flagship as a permanent architectural feature, while the jacket carries its technical lines into apparel.
Silence Please and adidas Originals will release 100 jackets. The permanent installation remains on view at the adidas Originals flagship at 135 Spring Street.
