Alberta Ferretti

Alberta Ferretti is a renowned Italian fashion designer celebrated for her romantic, feminine aesthetic and signature draping, tucking, and layering techniques. She established her first boutique, Jolly, in Cattolica near Rimini in 1968, and went on to present her debut collection in 1973. By 1976, Ferretti co-founded Aeffe S.p.A., a leading Italian fashion manufacturer and distributor, which expanded internationally with Aeffe U.S.A. The Alberta Ferretti brand is synonymous with sophisticated eveningwear and ethereal gowns, regularly featured on the Milan Fashion Week runway since 1981. The brand’s showroom is located in Milan, while creative operations remain rooted in Ferretti’s hometown of Cattolica. In 2025, Alberta Ferretti began a new chapter with the appointment of Lorenzo Serafini as creative director, ushering in a fresh vision while honoring the house’s heritage of Italian craftsmanship and contemporary elegance. Ferretti’s influence in the industry has been recognized with numerous accolades, including the America Award from the Italy-USA Foundation in 2018.
