Alejandro Gómez Palomo presented his Spring Summer 25 collection, “All of Heaven’s Parties,” at the Fourth Universalist Society in New York City, using the runway to explore themes of lust and desire within a heavenly framework. Building on his previous work centered around sexuality in garden settings, this latest collection dove deeper into the provocative juxtaposition of pleasure and sin. Palomo challenged the societal condemnation of natural human instincts, using fashion to ask why attraction and desire are often repressed, especially in light of the promise of heaven.
BACKSTAGE
Inspiration for this collection came from the works of photographer Nobuyoshi Araki, whose exploration of bondage and beauty influenced Palomo’s artistic approach to sexuality as creative expression. Elements from Helmut Newton and the glamorous 1920s also played a role in shaping the collection’s bold silhouettes and aesthetic. Texturally, the collection featured denim, taffeta, and silk organza — materials that are central to Palomo’s Spanish heritage — but reinvented with hand-embroidered details, silk fringes, oversized collars, and micro shorts. The palette mixed monochrome with rich hues like tobacco, purple, and denim blue..
The beauty direction was equally striking, with ethereal makeup looks created by Marcelo Gutierrez and the MAC Cosmetics team, while hairstylist Laurent Philippon, supported by Redken/Cutler, delivered polished finishes that contrasted with playful ostrich feather wigs by Tolentino Hats. Notable guests such as Bb trickz, Valentina Ferrer, and Violet Chachki added to the event’s cultural impact. Following the show, Palomo Spain revealed its collaboration with Bimba y Lola. The capsule collection, titled ‘BIMBA Y PALOMO,’ continued their partnership with bold floral motifs and a mix of daywear and eveningwear, instantly available for purchase.
