Mugler has returned to makeup after a 15-year pause, unveiling a limited-edition collection in collaboration with L’Oréal Paris. The launch signals a new chapter for the French house, which has built its reputation primarily on fashion and fragrances such as Angel and Alien.
BEAUTY
The Mugler x L’Oréal collection includes a cushion foundation available in 10 shades, mascara, eyeliner, lipsticks, highlighter sticks, and eyeshadow palettes. The standout is the cushion foundation, a format long popular in Asia for its combination of liquid texture and portable packaging. The full range launches simultaneously across the United States, China, Europe, Latin America, and Africa.
Kendall Jenner, a global ambassador for L’Oréal Paris, serves as the face of the campaign. Directed by Colin Solal Cardo, the visuals feature Jenner in three archival Mugler looks from the 1990s, which also form part of the brand’s Re/Edit capsule. The imagery links the new beauty chapter to Mugler’s history while pointing toward its future under the creative direction set to unfold later this year.
Positioned at a mid-range price point, the collection makes Mugler makeup more accessible while retaining its luxury edge. The eyeliner is priced at €14.99, while cushion foundations and eyeshadow palettes retail around €24.99. Limited-drop strategies add exclusivity, aligning the release with current beauty and fashion models.
