LISA from BLACKPINK will take her first feature role in Tygo, Netflix’s newest action film within the Extraction universe. She joins Don Lee, a central figure in Korean action cinema, and Lee Jin-uk, whose recent work positioned him firmly within the genre. Tygo anchors the franchise in South Korea and draws from the country’s film structure through director Lee Sang-yong, whose approach aligns with the project’s physical intensity and precise choreography.

Tygo enters a franchise that already set clear records for Netflix. Extraction reached 90 million households in its first month. Extraction 2 remained in the Global Top 10 for seven weeks and accumulated more than 123 million views. These viewing numbers frame the expectations for Tygo, which arrives with the advantage of an active global audience and the energy surrounding its cast. The film’s location, production partners, and casting choices position it as a major expansion within Netflix’s most visible action category.
The narrative follows Tygo, played by Don Lee, a former child soldier who now operates as a mercenary within Korea’s criminal underworld. His path shifts when a mission goes wrong, setting the tone for a story shaped by conflict and pursuit. The film draws from the graphic novel by Anthony and Joe Russo, which established the universe’s structure and direct pacing. Producers include Big Punch Pictures and AGBO, with co-production by Nova Film and B&C Content.

For LISA, the film marks a shift into long-form acting after her appearance in the third season of The White Lotus. She spoke openly about the role, saying, “I’m so honored to be a part of this project and grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such incredible actors. Being in an action film has always been a dream of mine, and for my first movie role to be in such an exciting action film is a dream come true.”
Don Lee reinforced the direction of the film by stating that “Tygo brings a distinctly Korean identity into the global Extraction universe,” pointing to the project’s regional specificity and the influence of Korean filmmaking on its shape. Angela Russo-Otstot, producer and chief creative officer of AGBO, described the collaboration with Lee Sang-yong as an opportunity to build on “world-class craft” through the film’s action sequences and visual approach.

Lee Jin-uk joins the cast with strong recognition across Korean television and film. He expressed clear enthusiasm for his placement in the franchise, saying that joining the Extraction universe offered him a significant moment in his career.
Tygo continues the active partnership between Netflix and AGBO, which began with Extraction in 2020 and expanded through Extraction 2, The Gray Man, and The Electric State. The film enters development with strong momentum, a defined cast, and a production team connected to the franchise’s core structure.
