The first major rumors around Coachella 2027 have started to take shape, with BTS, Dua Lipa and Tame Impala among the biggest names currently linked to the festival.

According to an industry report cited by several music outlets, Dua Lipa and Tame Impala are expected to be in the mix for headline positions, while Coachella promoter Goldenvoice is actively pursuing BTS for a major appearance. At this stage, however, BTS has not been confirmed or described as officially booked.
The festival is scheduled to return to the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, across two weekends, April 9–11 and April 16–18, 2027. Goldenvoice has confirmed the dates, though the official lineup has yet to be announced.
A BTS booking would immediately become one of the most closely watched moments of the 2027 edition. The group’s possible appearance arrives during a period of renewed activity and would place K-pop back near the center of Coachella’s main-stage conversation following previous landmark appearances by artists including BLACKPINK.
Tame Impala, meanwhile, would be returning to familiar territory. Kevin Parker’s project previously headlined Coachella in 2019 after earlier festival appearances in 2011, 2013 and 2015. Recent reports suggest the act is being positioned for another top-line slot in 2027.
For Dua Lipa, a headline booking would mark her first full solo set at Coachella. She previously appeared at the festival as a guest during Martin Garrix’s 2017 performance. Industry reports indicate that discussions around bringing her to the festival have been developing for some time.
Fred Again is also reportedly being considered for a major placement, potentially in the festival’s special dance slot rather than as one of the traditional three headliners. His Coachella history includes the 2023 closing set with Skrillex and Four Tet following Frank Ocean’s withdrawal from Weekend 2.
Other names circulating around the 2027 lineup include SZA, Oasis and Radiohead, though reports currently suggest SZA may be the more likely possibility among that group.
One artist reportedly no longer in contention is Miley Cyrus, now performing professionally as Miley. She is said to have turned down a Coachella headline offer as she focuses on her next album, Bass Persuades, which arrives September 18, 2026, alongside other upcoming plans.
For now, none of the rumored performers have been officially announced by Coachella. With the lineup still unconfirmed, the picture could change considerably before Goldenvoice reveals the final bill.
